The icon of Christ and the Theotokos have been hanging on bare wood for several years. Â Dalia and Teodosia took it upon themselves to cover the wood with beautiful red ribbon. Â Finally we have a completed iconostasis – just in time for the Nativity Feast. Â We call it the Ideal Iconostasis because it is open and allows all the parishioners to see – and thereby participate in – everything that is done in the Altar area. Â We believe that every baptized Christian is part of the Royal Priesthood. Â It is not just the presbyter who offers up the gifts on the Altar, but every parishioner is offering the gifts to the Lord.
